Fit To Be Tied
Is it just us or has fashion felt a little tamer in the wake of Carine Roitfeld‘s departure from Vogue Paris? In case you had forgotten what an audaciously sexy fashion editorial looked like Numero sets out to remind you with a bondage-y romp shot by Tom Munro and featuring the undeniably appealing Aymeline Valade.
Stealing a title and theme from Almodovar, while borrowing a bit of Helmut Newton-esque panache for good measure, the story is sultry, steamy and filled with the finest lace garters money can buy. Stylist Charles Varenne knows exactly how to titillate with pieces from Givenchy and Giorgio Armani.

Claudia Schiffer‘s 30-piece knitwear collection hits Net-a-Porter tomorrow.
#51 – Tight knit dress
“I was keen to create a knitted dress that would enhance your curves and hold you in at the same time. I feel this dress achieves that and it can take you from day to night very easily.”

Dress: vintage, $40, NYC flea market.. big score. The city has been quite a buzz about “Savage Beauty” the extraordinary exhibition of the late Alexander McQueen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I find it breathtakingly beautiful, emotional, powerful, inspiring and there is no doubt Mr. McQueen was a creative genius. This is one of those times in my life where the art is so great I forget it’s commerce.
sometimes, only sometimes, is it warm enough in san francisco to wear a bathing suit to the beach. i've gotten two rare chances in the past two weeks. lucky? probably. but only in sf can you go to a beautiful beach on a warm day to find a creepy naked man enjoying too much sun. that's life i guess.

More Prada campaign images have just popped up. They are set in the same tile-floored room and feature the same models (Frida Gustavsson, Kelly Mittendorf, Ondria Hardin, Antonia Wesseloh, Julia Zimmer and Dorte Limkilde), but you wouldn’t know it since all you can see are their legs.
Since there was so much going on in the previous full-body images, it was hard to know what to look at. In these, frivolous things like heads and torsos are cut out, allowing us to focus on all of the gorgeous footwear. Which pair is your favorite?
